Biarritz

Sketching and painting en plein air in Biarritz.

From my sketch book while on a painting trip to Biarritz, I am able to show the watercolours of the Hotel du Palais, and of the Villa Belza, which were a labour of love. Also the light house behind the Hotel du Palais.

Deidesheimer Hof

These three paintings were part of a project for Deidesheimer Hof, a beautifully situated hotel in the German vineyards just across the border from Strasbourg.

House Commissions

Part of a project for L'Auberge at the beautiful Chateau de Berne in Lorgues, in the Var area of Provence.

The watercolour of Emmerdale actor Richard Thorp's house was painted from slightly beneath ground level. The landscape is painted from the front of Richard Thorp's house.

French windows

French windows always seem to ask to be painted: the warmth of the ochre stone on the red geranium just singing out.
